Interior Designer for Action for Children

Action for Children is a local charity that helps children and young people struggling with homelessness and other issues. They had recently moved to a new premesis that was previously an IT office. We worked to find affordable or second-hand furniture to use in these spaces and built a Trauma Informed Scheme around these pieces. I spent a lot of time researching and learning about the details of Trauma Informed design to make sure we were designing in a way that would help the users of the space the most.
Since the launch we have heard multiple testimonials of therapists, social workers and young adults that use the space all saying how the soft colours and well considered layouts have helped the charity aid the local youth.
